If a donkey bray at you, don’t bray at him

donkeySave the Date! June 14, 2009 is officially Donkey Day, and if you should happen to be within an easy drive of Guelph, Ontario, come join us at The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada for their 16th annual celebration of all things donkey!

There are over 60 donkeys to visit with, as well as a long list of activities including groom a donkey, face painting, donkey tattoos, a children’s activity and crafts centre, and lots of musical entertainment including the Galt Kiltie Band, throughout the day. Then at 3:30 the donkeys will do their world famous Carrot Walk. Of course, BunnyEars.tv will be there and we’ll have a fun, free colouring book featuring all sorts and manner of donkey and carrot. (If you can’t get there and would like a colouring book, send an email to donkey@bunnyears.tv and we’ll get you one )

The day starts at 11 and runs through 4 pm, with an entry donation of $10 for adults, $5 for children 3-18. Come see the donkeys! They have long ears and love carrots and we just love them. Seriously, if everyone in the world could come and groom a donkey with love and affection, just once, we’d all be in a better place. For more information and a map, go to The Donkey Sanctuary of Canada’s website.
